District Attorney 1882, 1884, 1886, and 1888       

In 1882, James D. Torreyson was elected District Attorney of Ormsby County and without opposition, re-elected in 1884. He continued to win re-election in both 1886 and 1888. After his term as District Attorney, James went on to become the eighth Nevada Attorney General in 1891.
